March Update
Our work in the
struggle against Addiction continues with the formation of this
year’s “Recovery Sunday”
team, which will be developing our annual celebration of the hope that our
Higher Power offers for recovery from addiction.
If you are involved in a 12 Step Program as well as church and
might be interested in participating, you may speak confidentially to Fr.
Hubbard….Our annual African
Dinner in support of the Kenya Healing Mission trip will be Saturday,
April 28 in the Fellowship Room…
Many thanks to the 15 volunteers from St. Barnabas
who helped Christ Church, New Brunswick to host the overflow from the
Ozanam Men’s Shelter during the last week in January and the last week
in February. This is part of
our efforts in the struggle against
Hunger and Homelessness. We
also continue to serve on the Third Tuesday of each month at Elijah’s
Promise Soup Kitchen in New Brunswick.
Our work in the
struggle against Racism continued with our annual festive
International Sunday on February 4, celebrating our oneness in Christ in
the midst of great diversity, and with Friendship February visits by some
parishioners to each others’ homes to build deeper relationships –
activity which can continue in March!
