Assists the priest at the altar, and lead the procession in and out of the sanctuary.  Adults and teens are welcome to join, as well as school-aged children (the starting age may depend on availability of garments).

The 2008 Acolyte Festival will be held on Saturday, February 9.  We will meet at the church at 8:30 and return by 3:30.

St. Barnabas was represented by 21 people at the 7^th annual Acolyte Festival of the Diocese of New Jersey on February 3, 2007 at Trinity Cathedral, Trenton.  All had fun attending the workshops and participating in the service.  Samantha Romine assisted during the service as a serving acolyte.
